Senior Health And Wellness

Holistic Wellness is Priceless

The warmth of the sun on your face during an afternoon walk. The scent of a fresh cup of coffee. The sound of laughter filling the air during a shared joke at dinnertime. All of these experiences are part of living the good life. Holistic health is essential to aging well, which is why, at Newcastle Place, we’ve carefully curated every detail to support our residents in living fully and living well.

Wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit—the realization that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of well-being.

Physical Wellness

Everyone’s health journey is personal. At Newcastle Place, our wellness programs are tailored to satisfy your unique needs and interests. These programs are overseen by experts committed to helping you thrive. Physical activity is important at every age. Staying active helps reduce stress and improve cognition, which can improve your quality of life. Take a stroll or bike ride on well-manicured paths, swim some laps in the pool, partake in weekly yoga or aerobics classes with an instructor, or consult with a nutritionist for healthy ways to fuel your day.

Mental Wellness

Community life eliminates many daily stressors, however, one of its greatest contributions to good mental health is making it easy to find enrichment and connection. Sharing a meal, seeing the sights of Milwaukee or further afield, or learning a new skill with friends are just some of the many ways you can find your people and improve your mental well-being.

Spiritual Wellness

We are all part of something greater than ourselves. Supporting spiritual health looks different for everyone. It can mean volunteering with fellow residents to support a good cause, meeting with your faith group in the community room for worship, or spending time in solitary contemplation on the community grounds.

Since I moved here I have a greater respect for growing older. I've met so many interesting people—all different ages ... You meet people who are 100, 102, 106—sharp as a tack ... And it gives you the right feeling about growing older.
